Located in beautiful historic Lewes, Delaware, near Rehoboth Beach, Beebe Healthcare offers an array of inpatient, outpatient, emergency, and diagnostic services. Founded in 1916 by two physician brothers, Drs. James Beebe and Richard C. Beebe, the medical center in Lewes is a 210-licensed-bed, not-for-profit seaside community hospital. Beebe's specialized service lines include cardiovascular, oncology, women's health, and orthopaedics.
Beebe also operates the Beebe Health Campus on Route 24, Georgetown Health Campus, and Millville, Millsboro, and Milton satellite centers, which offer satellite imaging, physical rehabilitation, and lab services, including walk-in care centers. In addition, Beebe offers Beebe HealthyBack, Ornish Reversal Program and Cardiac Rehab, Wound Healing & Hyperbaric Medicine and Diabetes Management & Medical Nutrition Therapy, Gull House Adult Activities Center, Beebe Home Care Services, the Margaret H. Rollins School of Nursing, and more throughout Sussex County.
Beebe Healthcare offers a Vein Center, where venous disease can be diagnosed and treated. Beebe Vein Center also provides information about varicose veins, spider veins, and other types of venous disease.
Our Medical Staff has grown tremendously since the early 1990s. Family practice physicians, specialists, internists, and several surgeons are available so residents do not have to travel long distances for quality medical treatment.
Beebe participates in many community events annually, including the American Cancer Society's Relay for Life, the American Heart Association's annual Heart Walk and Heart Ball, and the American Diabetes Association's Walk for Diabetes. The Population Health Department provides cholesterol, glucose, blood pressure, and other free and reduced-cost screenings at local CHEER Centers, Super G, fire halls, churches, and other community locations.
Support programs include a Diabetes Support Group, Ostomy Support Group, Cancer Buddies, and Childbirth and Breastfeeding classes for expecting parents.
To supplement care provided by our Medical Staff, our Department of Integrative Health offers relaxation and life enhancement programs to help people cope with stress and improve overall health.
